Poppa had a bad day,
So he came home and fixed a cup coffee.
Added a splash of whiskey for good measure
Turned on some rhythm and blues
Tuned his psyche to a new station
He proceeded to elevate into new realms
His soles moved to the rhythm
His soul connected with the blues
