I do,
I pledge to honor and obey the desires of my heart.
At the commencement of this commitment
I assumed that was you.
Your presence gave me pleasure
And to make you smile was my pleasure.
So, I took your hand and placed a treasure on your finger,
Promising to forever treasure you no matter the weather.
Whether it rain or shine,
Whether it hail or the typhoons emerge on our shores,
Whether blistery winds knock down our door,
Whether floods overflow in our house.
I do,
I promise to be faithful and true.
True to my waking passions,
True to the emotions in my gut,
True to every thought in my mind
And so sorry, that is no longer you.
